What to Expect at Your Appointment
The Psychiatric Evaluation and Treatment Plan:
Psychiatric care begins with a 60-minute Extended Comprehensive Psychiatric Exam. We will take a careful history of the problems you or family member are experiencing, and will also take a family history. We use psychiatric and psychological scales to help gather information, not only about signs and symptoms, and problems you and your family are facing, but to also substantiate our diagnosis. These scales are helpful in determining and showing a patient's progress too.
Treatment may include medications, therapy or counseling.
Medication management or Follow-up Appointments:
We consistently prescribe the lowest dose of medication possible to minimize side effects. The goal is no side effects at all. Our physicians respect your budget and will prescribe low cost drugs if needed."
